We neither engage nor involve ourselves in divisive situations or events. We encourage dialogue and listen to community concerns and issues but always try to mediate in order to promote harmony and reconciliation. 

ECCNSW met with the Australian Turkish Advocacy Alliance (ATAA) in late 2014. We listened to their concerns but never did we agree to support their proposals. Had we done so, it would have offended our core principles of always promoting harmony within the community.

Mary Karras, new ECC NSW Executive Officer for 2015

It is with great pleasure that we welcome our new Executive Officer, Ms Mary Karras. 

Mary is a passionate believer of the principles of multiculturalism and throughout her career has been instrumental in ensuring that multicultural policies, programs and services met the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD) across the Sydney area.
